Musician, Photographer, and Creative type. I made my first public performance at age 6 as the conductor of my first-grade class for a Christmas program. I was hooked. Influenced by the likes of Frank Zappa, Dr. Demento, and big Band Music, on January 28th, 1972, I saw The Alice Cooper Band play at the Salem Civic Center in Virginia. This performance changed my perspective a bit and deepened my love for Rock music. I tend to look for humor in most situations. I spent most of my time either playing the Sax, which often brings a Blues vibe to my sound, or helping others in their musical quest. Currently living in Eastern NC, my latest project is Odd Numbers, where I explore various genres including Pop Music. Saxophones, Keyboards, Percussion, Guitars, Vocals, Bass, Flute, and anything else I can get a sound out of, all contribute to the unique style of Don Clifton Music.
